LEADERSHIP

Laura is a board-certified genetic counselor and is the Director of Clinical Services for MyGeneTeam. She received her BS in Biology from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in 2001 and her Masters in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005. Laura manages the clinical genetic counseling services offered by MyGeneTeam, working with healthcare providers and organizations to ensure that patients have access to experts in the field. Laura has worked as a clinical genetic counselor in a general genetics clinic, providing services to prenatal, pediatric and adult patients, and has taught clinical genetics to medical students, genetic counseling students, physicians and other healthcare providers. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and several special interest groups within the society, and has served as an ad-hoc committee member for the American Board of Genetic Counseling. Laura has presented her research at professional annual meetings, has published case reports and original research journal articles, and has served as a chapter reviewer for genetics texts.
